The compelling story, The Old Man and the Sea, is about the process of Ernest Hemingway, a sorrowful writer, writing a covert suicide note while his fans slowly unravel it. Throughout the story, a fisherman catching the biggest fish he could ever dream about could also be interpreted as Ernest Hemingway pouring his depressed heart into something he hopes for his fans to feel and understand. Ernest Hemingway's heart beat pain, swooshing throughout the body, pumping sadness.
