the difference in the young fisherman and older fisherman
To me when the old man and the boy went to the terrance and many fisherman laughed at him but the older fisher man looked at him and were sad to me the fisher man that laughed at the old man represents the new generation that don't understand hemingway and thinks he's oldschool but the older fisherman that looked at the oldman and was sad for him represents other writers who understands hemingway and what he's going through and are having sympathy for him.
