The Epic Marlin
“How would you like to see me bring one in that dressed out over a thousand pounds?”
The old man says this to the boy around the lottery conversation. I am confident about two things: one is that "dressed out" means how much meat is left after you carve it up for food consumption, the other is that there are very few fish in the carribean that could dress out that large. The Marlin is one of them. A full grown ones have been caught in the 1800 lb range. That is a big, sleek, muscular, juggernaut the size of a car.
