Only one good writer

When the boy says "There are many good fishermen and some great ones. But there is only you." I feel like he's meaning to say that not many fishermen *writers* are as talented as Hemingway is. The way he writes and how we uses the ice burg theory. A sentence so simple yet it can have multiple different meanings.
