The Other Fisherman
As we were reading the book I noticed that Hemingway said that he was further out on sea to the point where he lost sight of the shore. And that all the other boats were still visible from the shore. I interpreted this as him saying that he goes further into his literature than most other people can see, and also that he tries much harder than other writers.
