Old Man Refused to Let Fish Go
When the old man first feels he has a bite, when out fishing, i thought it was going to be a normal catch. But as time went on the process was never ending. Yet the old man was determined to catch the fish... i feel like this could relate to how Hemingway cannot let go. The old man wants to keep that fish no matter the cost. Maybe Hemingway is fighting to keep his writing career intact. He had begun to let it consume him and it pushed others away.

I felt more like the old man thinks that this could be his last big catch so he does not want to give it up, and that could relate to Hemingway not wanting to give up writing this last story.
