3 Perfect Sentences
Despite the fact that I failed to relate to this particular novel, I was able to sympathize with Hemingway's self conflicting struggle of attempting to please all around him but neglecting how his own happiness. Discussions regarding the novel seemed too explicit for my personal liking, thus my thought process took a more simplistic route as I felt the message was on the surface even though most searched for it layers below. Hemingway seemed to lack a sense of self worth; failing to know his own value, as stated, "He did not want to look at the fish. He knew that half of him had been destroyed..." further reinforces how his internal happiness was non existent.
