I find it werid that the oldman dreams of africa (pg 24) and all the dream seems to be of good thought of africa I find this werid because he was almost killed on two plane crahes while visiting africa.

Yeah it is strange that he is having dreams of Africa but perhaps those dreams represent his early writing career and being (some-what) care free. He probably does not want to let go of those days because those were the days that he and his fans were content with his work?...
