My mental journey taken through a genius's mind, makes for a journey of my own self, discovering such crushing agony, making assumptions as to what could have defeated this great mind. The novel, if taken the time to try to understand, could not just be some meaningless book about a Cuban fisherman, but an inside look into not what a suicidal man's mind but also a genius's mind. The book is very interesting in the fact we can see what he thought at this particular moment and try to figure out what part of the book pertains to what aspect of his life.
